Gender-equality and Women’s rights Advocacy Programme
“Gender equality not only liberates women but also men from prescribed gender stereotypes.” said Emma Watson, UN Ambassador at UN Women.
For the betterment of these marginalized communities, breaking the silence and empowering them to take lead to change the status of things is inevitable.
We believe our small actions will change dramatically the situation as for us, gender-equality is a human fight, not a female fight; Men, their rights, and nothing more; women their rights, and nothing less; There should be no word like "feminism" or "machoism" in this world, only equalism.
Under this programme area, our organization implements the following activities:
1. We sensitize communities to respect and value adolescents girls and young women rights and dignity by fighting gender-based violence and discrimination, promoting gender-sensitive practices and giving them opportunity to decide about their lives and futures without coercion;
2. We promote and raise awareness on girls education and equal opportunities sharing in the community;
3. We offer leadership skills training to adolescents girls and young women to increase their participation and involvement in decision making processes and nurture their power to lead and active citizenship;
4. We provide women rights education and advocacy strategies training to adolescents girls and young women in order to help them actively take lead in advocating for their rights, self-esteem and autonomy.
