Biography

Yannick Wolffensperger is an IT Engineer by profession  graduate from HAN University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

He started volunteering at SHEEO NGO since 2021 when he traveled from his home country, the Netherlands to Tanzania as a volunteer student.

Since that time until now, he is working with SHEEO NGO to take photos, videos and create content and make to maintain the visibility of SHEEO NGO on social media.

During the reforms made by the Annual General Meeting of 2023 held in February, 2024 which changed the name of this organization from Awakening Horn for Inclusive Rural Development - AHIRD to Solidarity for Her Education and Empowerment Organisation - SHEEO, Yannick travelled to Tanzania and met with the Board members and Staff of the organization to develop and design the actual approved logo of our organization.

He created the Instagram page of the organization, developed professional e-mails and business cards for the staff and board members of the organization.

Yannick is passionate about the sustainability of NGOs in East Africa and is now volunteering for the purpose of mobilizing resources to help a number of NGOs in Tanzania starting with SHEEO NGO and others and in Uganda, he is working in the same plan with Sports Uganda, an NGO based in Kampala, Uganda and the United Kingdom.

This is the right and impactful locally-led organization to focus on among the few I know in Tanzania and I am happy to be part of SHEEO NGO as together in our solidarity, we are making a difference in the lives of these suffering rural girls and young women benefiting from the projects implemented by SHEEO NGO in Tanzania. I will daily work hard to insure SHEEO NGO get resources to effectively answer the needs of the marginalized communities targeted."

Yannick is the developer of  an IT product to be launched soon focusing on the  Effectiveness of Local NGOs in East Africa, a platform where different philanthropists and organizations can choose to support strong locally-led and impactful organizations in East Africa vetted with due diligence and capable to deliver the work in transparency and accountability.
