Biography

Sharifa A. Martine is an administrative assistant by profession as she earned her diploma in Office Management and Secretarial Studies.

She is very interested in empowering young women stand on their feet and change their lives as she was working in the private sector of Tanzania with a big company which provides small loans to vulnerable young women to initiate and manage small businesses to have income in Mwanza region, Tanzania.

She joined SHEEO NGO (formerly known as Awakening Horn for Inclusive Rural Development - AHIRD) since April, 2020 and her contributions towards the growth of the organization convinced the Board of Directors to hire her as  the Office Assistant of the organization.

"I understand how poverty is highly overwhelming to my fellow young women and their children. I am sure with the interventions of SHEEO NGO, the strong staff and volunteers and our committed Board of Directors we will help the poor, rural adolescents girls and young women we support to re-write positive history of their lives. We all went through these challenges we are addressing and I am happy we came together and initiated this organization to be a voice for the voiceless. I am ready anytime the organization and its beneficiaries needs me."
